About

Clearing is an additional battling element to the game, requiring the use of game items rather than speed or strength. Participating in the clearing is an excellent way to increase your personal game rank, but also contribute towards you guild score which improves their placement on the rankings. Clearing battles are a similar set up to the arena battles, but the criteria are dependent upon the contents of you and your opponent's army. There are 3 main components to a clearing army:

Troops
  • Merc
  • Sentinel
  • Worker
  • Spy

  • Troops are involved in a range of the clearing battles, whomever has more of a particular type or the largest cumulative total wins the clearing battle against their opponent. This means that your only goal regarding troops, is to have more than your enemies! Troops can be made at the Training Center using smoked fish medleys, although you will not gain access unless you have 100 study points in Leadership. Troops can also be traded at the Marketplace before being allocated.

    Constructs
  • Assault Towers
  • Defensive Walls
  • Mortar Cannons

  • Similarly to troops, the more constructs you have the easier clearing battles become. Having more constructs than your opponent gives you a 1 point increase if your opponent loses a construct-based battle. Constructs can be made at the Workshop under the Old Fort section of Georgetown. You need to have 100 study points in Tech to create the 3 types of constructs for 5 motivation each.

    Synthetics
  • Guile
  • Agile
  • Tactile

The final element of your clearing army are synthetics, which work in the same way as troops and constructs. Synthetics can be created at the Chem Chemical under the Industrial Park section of Georgetown. In order to create synthetics you need 100 study points in Chemistry, 1000 marks and 5 motivation.

    How to Participate

  • Select the Clearing link under City Limits in Georgetown.
  • Assign your clearing army by selecting the Allocate Troops link, additional troops can be added here at a later stage without affecting your score. In order to add your synthetics, you need to go to your house and under the Usable Items section select the number of synthetics you wish to apply to your army.
  • You should take into account that it requires moves to attack an opponent. You can gain moves by studying Warfare which provides up to 200 clearing moves daily, or using Nanotech 101 (which provides between 1 and 20 moves randomly). Anybody intending to become a major clearing participant should consider studying warfare to full capacity at Campus Prime in preparation.
  • You're now ready to battle. Select the Find Opponents link where you'll find a list of attackable targets. To initiate a clearing battle select the Engage link next to the desired opponent. You will then be prompted to either Send Spies, which will give you information on the size the enemy army, or you can Invade which initiates a battle.
  • Should you want to withdraw from the clearing, you simply need to select the Remove Troops link at central command and specify the amounts of troops you are removing. Removing troops will cut your clearing score in half.

    Scoring Points
  • Winning a round against your opponent: +1 Point
  • Losing a round with troops and constructs allocated: -1 Point with Casualties
  • Losing a round with no army allocated: -1 Point
  • Removing your clearing army: 50% of total score deducted
  • Leaving or being kicked from your guild: 1/3 of total score deducted

  • Please Note: If you remove ALL of your troops, you cannot re-allocate them for the rest of the day.

    Questions

How do I know which people are allied with my guild?
When you select Find Opponents you will see that people in guilds allied with yours are shown in green, attacking these players is likely to break the terms of the guild alliance and you are therefore best to avoid them. Any players from enemy guilds will be displayed in red. Those displayed without colour are guilds with neutral relations.

Is my clearing score affected if I leave my guild?
Yes! If you leave your guild you will lose 1/3 of your clearing points.

How do I know if someone has attacked me?
When you are attacked a news feed is displayed at Central Command, this details who attacked you and the outcome of the battle. When someone has attacked you, the Clearing link in Georgetown will become emboldened.

I don't have an army, why is my clearing score increasing?
As long as you have a combat score above 0, you will gain 1 clearing point at reset each day.
