What is a guild?
You may find yourself asking that question. A guild is an entity of its own in the game, with its own set of rules and regulations (located here). It has a leadership structure including a guild leader, co-leader, and other staff positions; these staff positions range from a person who lets people in the guild or kicks them out, to someone who hands out guild weapons, or a combination. A guild contains vaults, or treasuries, which hold the guild's money. The guild money can be used to purchase weapons, to stock the guild armory, or to buy items to sell in the Gift Shop. A leader can also use guild resources to purchase a member subscription time. Please note that guilds have a maximum cap of 200 members.

A guild isn't just all configurations of assets and weapons, it also is a community. A guild is a place to meet new people, a part of the game to read opinions of your fellow guild members and share your ideas and opinions as well.

A guild level chart is located here.

How do I get a guild?
Guilds can be purchased for 2 billion (2,000,000,000) credits. To purchase a guild, goto Hall of Guilds in Georgtown and then click Form a Guild.

Another way to become a leader of a guild is to join the guild, become staff, and when the leader resigns he/she asks you to take their place. Obviously, the chances of this happening anytime soon are very small. If you have your heart set on owning a guild, you will have to have a lot of patience!

Of course, there are exceptions to these two ways. Every now and then there will be guild auction and whoever bids the most for a guild wins it. Also, Webby might give a very helpful player who looks like they might make a good leader a guild. Both of these cases happen very, very rarely though.

How do I join?
There are two ways to join a guild. You can either receive and accept an invite, or you can apply to a guild and be accepted. To view all the guilds in the game, go to Georgetown and click on Hall of Guilds. From there you can visit any one of the 120 or so guilds in the game. Some guilds have certain requirements and will not accept your application. Some guilds may automatically accept you regardless of your stats or level. To view the guild's application requirements go to the application page. You can find the link to the application page at the bottom of their main page. If you feel that a guild is right for you and you think that they would accept you, apply to that guild and sit back and wait for an acceptance or denial. Remember, just because you are a newbie does not mean that they won't accept you. A tip to success in any guild is to be active on the message boards and to donate whenever you can.

Guild Structure
So, you get accepted to a guild and click the shiny guild link on your QuickLinks. It brings you to a completely new page that you have never seen.

Here is a breakdown of guild structure:

Mainframe | Armory | Stockpile | Guild Blacklist | Voting Booth | Message Boards | Chatroom | Treasury | Member Roster | Gift Shop | Leave Guild

Mainframe: The Mainframe of the guild is the first link you will see, and it gives all the guild statistics. These include the ID of the guild, the default tax percentage in the guild, the guild's finances, guild level, arena and clearing scores, staff list, and ranking list.

Armory: The guild Armory is the place where a plethora of guild weapons and armor can be held. Anyone who has armory powers can control this section. He or she can give you weapons and armor (which are branded by the guild, meaning they are guild property) and you can donate weapons and armor to the guild. You cannot receive an item from the armory directly, so you must follow your guild's instructions (i.e. a weapon application page) or contact a staff member who has armory powers in order to obtain a weapon/armor. All guild weapons are free to use but you must follow your guild's instructions to receive the correct set.

Stockpile: In the Stockpile, you can see how many herbs, ore, space items, clearing items, Nanotech, syn, and many other items your guild has. You can donate almost any game items you want there and it will be stored in the guild. Anyone who has stockpile powers is allowed to hand out items to members.

Guild Blacklist: The guild Blacklist is a place where the guild staff can list guild enemies. You can attack anyone on the list but you do not receive any special bonuses for killing a player on the blacklist.

Voting Booth: The guild Voting Booth is maintained by anyone the leader allows, and it is used to conduct polls for guild members. If the Voting Booth link is bold it means there is a new vote up. If you meet the set requirements you can vote in the poll. You can only vote once, so choose wisely.

Message Board: The guild Message Board works like all the other message boards in the game, but there are at least two major differences:

  • Only guild members can access the board.
  • Guild staff, not game staff, are responsible for moderating guild posts.
The guild Message Board is the guild's main way to communicate with each other. Posts are usually divided into two categories which are represented by a horizontal line on the message board. The first category are the floated threads which are above the horizontal line. These floated threads usually deal with guild business. Below the horizontal line are top level posts which you and any guild member can make. If someone replies to a post it is bumped to the top; however, if a post receives no replies it drops to the bottom. Floated threads never move no matter how many, or how few, replies they receive.

Chatroom: In the Chatroom, you can talk with your fellow guild members in real-time (you say something, they respond right after). It is the same thing as the A3 Chatbox but different in the fact that it is for guild members only.

Treasury: The guild Treasury is a place where you can donate currency to the guild. You can choose how much you wish to donate.

Member Roster: The Member Roster shows all guild members in the guild currently. You will have options at the bottom that will sort the members in different ways.

Gift Shop: In the Gift Shop you can buy items from the guild depending on what the guild wants to sell. There may be certain requirements in order to be able to use the gift shop and also requirements on what you can buy or how much you can buy.

Leave Guild: This is where you can leave the guild. It has a confirmation screen in case you didn't mean to click this link. There is a space where you can explain why you are leaving. Make sure you really want to leave the guild before you confirm.

Note: All the above guild structures can be renamed by the guild leader, thus, the above listed structures are the default names and the guild you join may call them something different but all the purposes of each structure remains the same.
