Saskia is a great help when first using the marketplace. The best way to understand the marketplace is to follow her directions. After you have learned how to use the marketplace feel free to use the advanced mode in order to view more options on buying and selling.

In the marketplace you may filter out certain items, and check their current prices so you to sell effectively and competitively. Click on the group of items you want and then click on the specific item you are looking for. From there you can see what Saskia has found. To buy an item, simply click on "buy", you may have a confirmation page before you actually buy. Simply confirm and you have brought the said item.

Selling items is just as easy. Simply click on the marketplace link and then follow the link to where you can sell items. Follow the instructions posted and click post. Your item(s) will now be listed in the marketplace and if someone decides to buy them you will receive news and the money immediately. If someone does not buy your items within 2 days your ad will be deleted. You can sell as many items as you want, just repeat the procedure; however, remember that everytime you post an ad it will cost you 1% of the asking price.

Flea Market
The Flea Market is the place where you can only sell or buy either:

Weapons and Armor will help and increase your defense and attack. Much like in the marketplace, the principle of buying and selling is the same. Look for your item (filter) you want and simple click on buy. You may also sort the listings out to the amount, total cost, or cost per. Simply click the words (headings).

To sell your weapons and armor, click on the word "sell" in the top paragraph. Choose which weapon or armor you would like to sell from the drop down menu and enter the price, and click post. Each ad will cost 100 credits and it will remain for 2 days or until someone purchases it.

Secure Trades
Another way to buy or sell items is through setting up Secure Trades with other players. To do so, go to Georgetown and click Transfer Stuff located at the bottom of your screen. There will be two text boxes to choose from. One of them is Standard Give, the other is Secure Trade. Secure is the key word here!
Type in the person’s ID that you wish to trade with and then click Next. In the new screen you can specify what you want to trade and for how much. When you are done click Set Trade. The other player will receive a news item and if they accept the trade the items will be traded immediately. If they decline the trade you will be receive a news item. Please note that the secure trade is very secure. You will not lose any items unless you make a mistake when setting up the trade.
