The first thought that probably will go through your head the first time you log in is something similar to "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" It looks quite complex. There are numbers and settings, links and information all over the place. It’s not a good idea to try and understand everything at once, but after you get the hang of it, the game is actually quite simple. These few hints should make your playing experience a bit more understandable:
- The first thing you should do is click the Georgetown link (located on the top and bottom of your screen). This being the main city in A3: Alien Adoption Agency. A lot of your daily activities will involve you visiting this area of the game frequently. Go down the list and click on each link, and you will get to see what they reveal. There’s no harm in clicking on anything, they will always be confirmation of any action that may involve a change that can't be undone. Confirmations can be disabled through My Account if you do not wish to see them each time. (It's advised you don't fiddle with the "My Account" settings too much early on.)
- Looking to make some money? New players should start picking herbs, it’s easy to learn, easy to do, and the herbs are useful too, since you’ll need them to heal your alien from battle. You can pick herbs at KaldaBerth Gardens located in the Downtown section of the city of Georgetown. When you have some herbs, you can sell them to other players by clicking on the Marketplace link, located on M Street in Georgetown. Take notice of what other prices of the items you plan to sell are. You wouldn't want to sell your items too cheaply.
- You'll need weapons to fight, purchase a Pabite Rod and a Pabite Cloak from the Armory or Flea Market in Georgetown to get yourself started. The Flea market may be cheapest, so compare the prices to save yourself some credits. Remember to Equip them before you fight! (You can equip weapons and armor by clicking on your House link, then clicking the Equip link next to each item. You can only have one weapon and one armor equipped at any time. You need to meet certain requirements for each set of weapons you want to equip. To find out if you meet these requirements, go to Georgetown > Campus Prime > Wildcat Memorial Library > Click the links that say "Weapons by ATK" and "Weapons by DEF", and you will see a list of weapons and armor, and their requirements to equip them.)
- Want to improve your stats? Head over to the Galaxy Gym to do some workouts. Head straight over to the Training Facilities, once you're ready to train. Only work on the lowest level on each course (Lowest being 1 and highest being 5). Play with the different workouts to see which ones give you the best gains. You may see your gains by paying a small fee to the Personal Trainer. To add more energy so you can train more you will need to go to the Nutrition Center, be warned though, some items are expensive and if you take too many, you may become ill! Go to the last drink and buy one of those, then go back and train. Repeat this process three more times. As you get older, you'll need more drinks to replenish your energy. Never buy over four drinks. Go back and do the easiest workout in the same section as you did before. You will gain little to start with, but with age your stat gains will increase.
- You can gain levels by visiting the Battle Village under Old Fort in Georgetown, where you can train to gain experience points as well as earn Credits. You can also earn experience points by battling other players.
- Many areas of the game require study points in specific classes. Each study point takes up five motivation, and you lose two points per week for each class that is over zero. You can find these by going to Georgetown, then Campus Prime, followed by Study Hall. Clicking the link to read the Course Register will explain what each individual class will give you access to.
- You can update your QuickLinks with links to the sections of the game you visit most for easier navigation. Set this up by clicking on Update in the top-right corner of your screen.
- To ensure the security of your account, don't forget to click Logout also located in the top-right corner of your screen, when you are finished playing for the day, or if you are taking a break.
You will obviously have additional questions after reading this. The answers to most of them can be found by browsing through the other help topics located here in the Help Files. It is probably easier to view each section while you are reading about it. Attemtping to absorb all of the information in these files at once is a challenge without actually having the section on hand, no doubt you will need to return. There is also a Game Help message board, where other players will assist you in any questions that are not answered here or that you need more information about. You can find it by clicking your Message Boards link, and then clicking on the Game Help board.
The tutorial just disappeared after the employment agency. How do I get it back?
That's the end of the tutorial. You will now be placed in the New Player chat with others who have completed this tutorial as well. If you still have questions, don't be afraid to ask anyone in the chat. Players with bold text are new player help staff and can assist you with anything that you may have questions about. Enjoy the game!" after that. |
